About Me
I'm Mr Murtz. I'm a qualified PGCE English teacher with QTS, working full-time at a top London academy. I started the GCSE Tutoring Club because great teaching shouldn't only happen in school.
Outside the classroom I run MurtzTV, where over 80,000 followers on TikTok and YouTube watch my GCSE English tips, revision content, and exam technique breakdowns. Exam-focused English for everyone in the club. Each session targets a specific Paper 1 or Paper 2 question, building exam technique week by week.
Thursday
GCSE Higher Maths
6 – 8pm • 2 hours
For students on the £150 English + Maths plan. Run by an experienced maths tutor, working through the toughest exam topics and grade 7–9 questions.

The 2025/26 cohort is full and we're now in exam season. To keep group sizes small and quality high, I don't take new joiners mid-year. The club returns fresh in September 2026 with new Year 10s and Year 11s. Add your child to the waitlist and I'll personally reach out in August to get them set up.

Every session is fully recorded and uploaded for members to rewatch any time. There are already 50+ hours of past lessons available from day one, so your child can catch up or revise any topic whenever it suits them.
The English Language sessions are AQA-focused, covering Papers 1 and 2 question by question. The skills and techniques taught are highly transferable to other exam boards like Edexcel and OCR, and many of our students sit different boards and still see significant improvement. If you'd prefer fully bespoke 1-to-1 tuition on a different board, drop me a line.
Groups are capped at around 30 students to maintain quality, interaction, and a real classroom feel. This isn't a massive lecture. It's designed so every student can participate, ask questions, and get individual feedback on their work.
Yes, easily. Plans are monthly, so if you start on English Only and want to add Maths later (or drop it), just message me and I'll switch you over from the next invoice. No fee to change plans.
